Guess what?!

Ella's going to have a baby SISTER!! On Friday we found out that we are 85 percent likely of having a little girl. We had our boy name picked out and I was quite certain this one was going to be a boy, however, I was wrong and our ratio is now going to be 3:1. Jonah is thrilled with the fact that he will be having lots of needy princesses
around the house desperate for his attention. ;O) We have plenty of time to pick out our little girl name and will announce it once the big day arrives. We are super excited and looking forward to sharing our little blessing with you all. My health is great as well as the baby's; since we arrived home from our 2 week vacation, I've been able to get back into work out mode. When I went in for my 14 week visit I hadn't gained any weight in 6 wks, however, the little one has and my stomach is bigger. ;O)

Isabella has turned two already!! Our little girl is so incredibly amazing. Her brain is such a sponge and her vocabulary has become so much understandable in the past few weeks. Potty training is still a work in progress, however, I'm committed to having her out of diapers before our next one arrives. I'd be surprised if she was still in diapers by Christmas. Ella absolutely loves animals; pretty much anything fuzzy and not human is adorable to her. She's always hunting for bunnies to catch a glimpse of on our way to daycare in the morning. She has her favorite stuffed animals that she enjoys talking and reading books to everyday. Recently her "babies" have gotten the boot when up against her animals. She has a shopping cart that she uses for a stroller; pretty much the baby doll gets stuck underneath while the puppy gets the pillow and blanket up top. Jonah and I found this to be quite amusing but something to work on with baby sister on the way. We have been trying to explain to Ella that her baby sister is in Mommy's tummy; she has seen the most recent ultra sound photos and is quite interested in those and realizes that it's a baby. She now goes to the fridge and points at the baby photo saying "Awww Baby; big hug" while squeezing her arms together in a cradled rocking motion. Cute!!

I'm quite behind on my posts, so I'll just explain these photos below for now until I get further photos up. These were taken prior to our Tennessee/Michigan trip in August. Jonah allows Ella to collect coins and stash them away in Jonah's old chipmunk bank. I got a couple cute photos of how excited Ella gets to save her money. ;O) Once it's filled up, we'll take her to the bank to deposit her money into her very on savings account. The last photo is of Ella with her bright pink pony; she got a gift card from Uncle Mike and Aunt Wanda for her birthday and this is what she picked out. Thanks to you both for the gift!! :O)

This week has been a lot of fun! We celebrated Jonah's birthday on Tuesday by having a couple friends over for dinner (we made enchiladas). We pretty much have hung out with friends all week and gone out to dinner a couple times. We all went to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner the other night which was an addition to Jonah's birthday (his favorite wings spot).

Right now Ella is coloring in her animal book while I type this. We're getting ready for our vacation starting next Thursday and oh so excited about it! I've tons laundry to do along with getting our house cleaned for departure.

Baby News... we had our first ultrasound on Friday and got to meet with the doctor that will be with us throughout the pregnancy. I'm happy that we'll be able to have the same doctor; with Ella I had someone different every time I went in for an appointment. About the ultrasound... everything looks great! He said that I'm closer to 12 weeks now. Crazy huh?! Our due date is still February 14th and we were able to get a photo of our little one. In the picture you can see eyes, head, hands, and feet! This morning we showed Ella the photo of her little brother/sister. We told her that the baby was in Mommy's tummy; she pointed to her belly and said "baby". LOL. We'll wait a few more months to get back into the understanding of babies in bellies. Just for the record... we corrected her and she said "tummy". :)

Well, it's been a long week for the three of us. Jonah is still out of town since last Monday for work related reasons but will be home tomorrow! Ella has repeatedly asked, "Where's Daddy?" and singing around the house, "Daddy where are you?". I told her that Daddy is at work this week and she gave me a grumpy whine that ended with a big sigh. Now she tells me, "Daddy's at work." I'm so glad that Jonah will not be deploying this August. :)

Today Ella and I went to Chick-fil-A for lunch; this usually happens when Jonah is out of town because he can't stand the place. ;) Anyways, after our delicious meal, Ella wanted to go play in the little play yard area. She was excited when entering because she usually plays on this fake treehouse that is inside for younger ones, however, within 30 seconds some little boy found Ella so attractive (he was probably 2 1/2) that he couldn't keep his arms off of her. I literally had to pry my pour scared child away from him. She was yelling, "No!" and crying. I'm so happy that one... Ella doesn't like boys that way, two... she has a serious bubble with a great alarm system, and three... she follows the rules of no PDA is allowed. With this incident and the last one of her being so frightened of the 5 foot cow, I don't think we'll be going back anytime soon. ;)

Friday (the 24th) we get to go see our baby on the ultrasound and listen to his/her heartbeat. Fun! I'm pretty anxious/excited about it because it feels like I've been waiting 2 months for this appointment. Things are a lot different from our first time around. I've been sick most afternoons (3PM seems to be the scheduled time) and completely exhausted. I'm back to taking naps when Ella is taking hers. Also, call me crazy but I'll be 10 weeks tomorrow and I seriously have felt our baby move already (the flutters). With Ella I didn't feel her move until about 3 to 4 months. I'll keep you all updated on our visit this Friday. :)

I have some fun videos to post, but I'm going to have to try when our internet connection is better. It takes forever to even download 30 seconds of footage on here, but I'll work at it soon. Miss Ella news... right now she's coloring circles with her marker; earlier she set up a tray with cups to have a little "tea party" with her bears. She's so much fun and I love teaching her new things and how she absorbs it so quickly. I'm excited for those of you who haven't seen her in months; she's going to have a lot of fun visiting friends and family this upcoming month. (Just a few short weeks!) Our first stop will be in Tennessee to visit with the folks and friends and then we'll be taking a road trip with cousin Laura up to Michigan! We should be arriving around August 5th.
Who's this sexy couple?!
Ella did finger painting for all her grandmas and grandpas. Yes, it was so much fun to clean up afterwards. ;)
Jonah helping Ella dress her bear.
Super cute photo while at the playground last week.
Ella and I played dress up this week and had a little piano concert at home.

For those of you that don't know...

We're Prego! (a.k.a. pregnant) ;) Yes, Ella is going to be a big sister. We found out today that our little one should be arriving around February 14th, 2010. (pretty much forever away) LOL. Jonah and I are super excited!! (Ella too once she realizes a baby is in Mommy's belly.) We'll continue to keep you updated throughout our pregnancy; we won't know the sex of our baby until October. We've heard some bets already placed on a little boy, but we'll see what surprises are in store for us. Love to you all and much prayers needed!! :)

Happy Fourth of July Everyone!! Here are some photos taken this previous week up until today. Jonah's best bud from Michigan, Jason, came to visit with us for about a week. We had a lot of fun; especially at the zoo!! Today has been a very hot summer day; we went over to a little cook out at our local neighbors. Ella was so tired that she told me that she wanted to go "night night". She's asleep before sunset; no fireworks for us this year. Well, enjoy the photos & God Bless America!! :)
Koala Bears at the San Diego Zoo (one is to the far right).
My what good looking Monkeys!
Ella took a little nap during our little tour.

Hello Ella!
This foot massage chair was amazing!
Yes, Ella has an alien friend that her Daddy got her.
He bought it at an electronics store.
Before Ella's nap today she insisted on sleeping with her babies and bears.
On our way to the cook out!
Rocks and Side Walk Chalk were a big hit today; along with hot dogs, strawberries, and cake.
Festive!
